Job Title: Financial Management Consultant
As a Financial Management Consultant at GRID Consulting, you will work in a team led by the Financial Management Technical Director to provide financial management support to our clients and partners as well as to the stakeholder communities who we support. Together with other members of the team of FM Consultants, you will provide support to designing, reviewing and implementing accounting systems. You will also provide accounting and audit support - reviewing and improving financial management processes in donor funded projects and initiatives.
Main Duties include:
Continually developing tools to review FM processes and systems and rolling out key solutions
Providing Financial Management support and advisory services within donor-funded projects to ensure the best use of financial resources
Developing appropriate FM training tools and participates in, capacity building within client organisations
Contributing to the development and documentation of GRID’s financial management models and tools
Qualified candidates should possess the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or any related finance management field.
A minimum of five years' progressive experience in an accounting firm with system based/audit experience.
Experience in system based auditing from a reputable audit-firm.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks.
Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Strong interpersonal, communication (oral and written) skills
A Professional accounting qualification will be an added advantage
Experience in grants management/administration will also be an advantage
